Beginning January 2025, sooka introduces its new and improved interface with enhanced user experience across sooka’s app, web, and TV platforms. This new update includes:
- Easier Navigation: A new and improved look and feel with an upgraded user interface for ease of navigation and content discovery.
- Discover More: While maintaining the same core functions, sooka will now have a new app layout and better features to discover more of the content you love, including a feature to pin your favourite channels
- Better Performance: The new app promises a smoother playback experience with faster load times, stable streaming with minimal interruptions.

The software update is scheduled to be rolled out progressively to all customers starting 6 January 2025. Rest assured, there will be no changes to your existing subscription and payments.

What should I do:
- We’ve made it as seamless as possible for you – all you have to do is ensure your mobile phone operating system is up to date and auto-updates are enabled for the sooka application.
- If you are anticipating catching any live shows or sports matches, please ensure your sooka application is updated ahead of time to prevent any service interruption.
What to Expect:
- New Interface Rollout: Starting 6 January 2025 the new interface will be released in stages – during this period, you may notice that some of your devices are still on the older interface/look and feel and other devices have been updated. If your interface is not updated by 15 January 2025, please raise a ticket here.
- Active Subscriptions: When the app is updated to the new interface your current plan will automatically be reflected.
- Login/Signup: As we are moving to a better interface, all users will be logged out from all platforms (app, web, TV) and will be required to log in again after the update.
- Content Related: Your My List will be reset with the new interface. Please rebuild your new My List on your homepage after the upgrade. As part of the new interface, Continue Watching will no longer be available (for a limited time).

1. What should I do if I am unable to launch the sooka app?
Check your mobile phone operation system (OS) as the new interface only supported by:
- Android 9 and above
- iOS 13 and above

2. My phone does not support the operating systems listed, can I still watch sooka?
Yes, you can! You can access sooka via your browser on your mobile/desktop phone by going to the sooka.my website.
3. Previously I have used mobile number to log into sooka, but now I can’t log in. What do I do?
Please raise a ticket here and our team will support you.
4. I have previously created an account with sooka but have not logged in for the past 12 months. I am not able to login, what do I do?
If you have not logged in or performed any activities in sooka for the past 12 months, your account may have been disabled. You will be required to Sign Up for a new sooka account, you may use the same email address as your previous account.
