How do I change OR cancel my subscription?
Do you really have to?
Any cancellation or change to your subscription will need to be managed through the payment channels that you have chosen.
Upgrade - Any upgrades will take effect immediately upon successful purchase. Your billing cycle will start at the same time and your first bill will include any balance from your previous subscription (based on the unused days if any). You can only upgrade your subscription by using the same payment method that you have chosen.
Downgrade – Any downgrade will only take effect on the next subscription cycle (‘cos you deserve to enjoy sooka for as long as you can). You can only downgrade your subscription by using the same payment method that you have chosen.
Cancel – You can cancel your subscription whenever you sooka (we’d love you to stay). But your subscription will only end on the next billing date.
Important Note: Cancel on the Platform Where You Purchased If you purchased your subscription on the web, you need to cancel it on the web. If you bought it via the Sooka Android app, you need to cancel it on the Android app. The same applies to the Sooka Apple app. To cancel your subscription, follow these steps:
Sample Use Case:Hakim purchased a sooka subscription through the sooka website. Later, he tries to cancel his subscription using the sooka Android app. However, he finds that the app does not allow him to cancel the subscription. Hakim must go back to the sooka website, where he originally made the purchase, to successfully cancel his subscription. Why is this necessary? The payment and subscription management are tied to the platform you used for the purchase. Each platform (Web, Android, iOS) handles subscriptions and payments independently to ensure secure and seamless processing. Therefore, to manage your subscription, including cancellations, you need to go through the same platform where you made the initial purchase. |
